The Internal and Marginal Adaptation of Zirconia Based Fixed Dental Prostheses in the Posterior Region

Purpose:Long-term clinical success is closely related to the internal and marginal adaptation of restorations. Thepurpose this study was evaluate zirconia-based fixed dental prostheses in posteriorregion.Materials & Methods:Four-unit porcelain-fused zirconia were fabricated with CAD-CAMsystem 20 patients. For evaluation restorations’ fit, conventional silicone replicas used withthe optical microscope. The obtained impression cut obtain two cross-sections from buccolingual 3from mesiodistal. Fifty different measurements taken every tooth by taking 10 each cross- section; 2from margin, 6 axial surfaces 2 occlusal microscope.Results:There statistically significant differences discrepancy terms area type. Theaverage on molars 142.39±47.42μm. In premolars, mean was139.53±46.80μm. average values molar teeth was164.39±53.61μm, whereas same for premolar 161.92±60.54μm.Conclusion:Within limitations study, restorations CAD/CAM marginaldiscrepancies at clinically acceptable intervals
